About the illustrator
Anita Jeram says that illustrating this title was a labour of love. "Every time I read this book, I want to cry," she says. Anita is also the illustrator of many other popular and critically acclaimed picture books, including Don't You Feel Well, Sam? and You Can Do It, Sam by Amy Hest, and All Pigs Are Beautiful by Dick King-Smith. She lives in Northern Ireland with her family and a menagerie of pets.
